It all started at a women's empowerment conference.
I was sitting in the audience, watching woman after woman purchase and wear tees with messages like "I Am Strong" and "Boss Babe" on the front.
The only problem was, I could read the messages.
Which meant the woman wearing them could not.
I realized how totally backwards it was that we were telling others how empowered we felt, but we were neglecting the one person who actually needed to hear it: Ourselves.
The daughter of a psychologist, I've grown up with positive affirmations, often daily. So I know their importance--and their effectiveness.
I want other women to have the same experience of reminding themselves how wonderful they are.
We all know it, girl. It's time you knew it, too.
